  • The course consists of a series of lectures and three practical assignments which will have to be worked out and handed in by the students.

  • Examination:
  • Oral examinations will be held after the course. The exam will cover all materials listed on this course page. An appointment for the exam must be made with Jaap Heringa (heringa@few.vu.nl) within one month after the last lecture, and after all assignments have been handed in. The course end result will be the weighted average of the three practical session hand-in (1/6 each) and the oral exam (1/2) results.
  • Assignments:
  • Three assignments are obligatory part of this course. They will be made available online at the set dates in the schedule below. All assignments must be handed in before their respective deadline (usually two weeks after coming online). A penalty of 1 point for each day delay will be applied. Before the exam can be taken, all assignments must have been handed in and each must have had assigned a score of at least 5.0.
